However I still help mummy carry the 5 kg Persil powder into the kitchen.

Kumon Updates

Last Sat, my parents met my teacher about my progress at Kumon. So far, she is satisfied with my performance and expect that I can do it. However I must build up more confidence. N know wat? I be doing my first additions worksheet this coming Tuesday! very excited and looking forward. Daddy is also keen to enrol me for English next year. Well see how it goes.

Last Fri nite, I was still worried and scared and shared my concerns with mummy that I can't do additions for my next Kumon lesson. Mummy also didn't know I am going to have a test to ascertain if i can go on to the next level. Mummy reassure me that she will let teachers know my fears. On Sat morn, I was still voicing concerns to my parents and they told me they will tell teachers.

Luckily teachers say i will need to take a test first and if I pass then I can go on to nxt level. and the teacher said she will guide me along. Finally it was over and I completed it successfully! which meant I will go on the next level, which might include addition.... mummy am proud of me and decided to buy me a scooter to encourage me! I was elated and played nearly the whole sat aftn!

btw, now my fav colours are not just red, but also pink!! which mummy and daddy say it too girly... but I like it.

I suddenly had fever on Thur early morn (middle of Wed nite) and then vomitting follows... Diagnose to be stomach flu. No appetite to eat anything. Fever go up and down.

The other day I was just fine and still poke fun at mummy when mummy shouts for dad. I also help "Sebastian, Eunice is finding you!" haha

Hope I will recover soon and eat properly...

On 5 June, I went dancing trial class with mei mei. Mei mei attended earlier class which is ballet. It was for smaller kids. Mei mei didn't wanna go as you can see in the pic. She only warm up after the class! too bad!

When it was my turn (hip hop class), I gamely stood up and line behind the teacher. I was ready to follow the steps. Some of it I can follow but I am quite slow. But I must say it a good start!

The studio is at Bugis and thereafter we had a KFC lunch. After that, we wanted to go Tanglin mall but it was flooded! yes flooded... so we couldn't go in to collect the repaired cuckoo clock.

nevertheless since we are there, we head to Forum for some toys window shopping... Saw notice on Dora show and mei mei got excited. We waited in vain as the show was later cancelled. It might be due to the flood earlier as I notice the basement is abit wet.

Luckily for mei mei, b4 we left forum she saw ..... Dora and boots! walking towards her. She rushed towards them without looking back at us but backed out later and told mummy to follow her. Mummy quickly went queue for photo taking. We are the last few to be able to take the pics with them... so lucky... The dora pics are found in mei mei blog btw... of cos...

I love to sing Chinese songs nowadays, and I learned many Chinese New Year songs for this festive season. I sang to my family as well as my parents frens.

Yesterday morning, my fren Jodie greeted me at the carpark. Then at the staircase, she asked me to hold her hands which I did. Mummy later asked me which gal is it as she was not there this morning. I started to take interest in buses, more indepth. Whenever I am on the road or in the car, I will point out whether there is public or private bus. If it is a public bus, I will go deeper to say what is the bus number, eg 57 or 100. I will say it as fifty-seven or hundred. Yes I can now count up to 30 or even more, and it is not saying it as "3-0" but rather "thirty"

My chinese also improved alot. and I can differentiate "liang" (2) pieces or "er" (2) too.

Last sat in Happy Train class, teacher asked for a volunteer to come up to recite a poem. I immed raise up my hands and was the first to recite it perfectly, all 4 lines correctly. Mummy and daddy were so proud!

Recently, I have been getting loose stools and worried mummy sent my stools for testing. Just the other nite, I even had blood in my stools... that even scare my poor mummy....

But luckily, the doc called yesterday to say my poo is normal and to advise me to take yakuly everyday.

Recent update: Eversince halloween on 29/10, I been reluntant to go to school. I am scare of a boy who snatch my toys. I even lie that I am tired or sick to avoid school. Mummy also seen teacher and talk to her. Now I almost over it and happily going to school again. I still promise teacher I will go school. But ytd, it was raining, and I ask mummy "raining hor so cannot go cherie hearts"

These days instead of 1 time 6oz of milk every night, I been taking at least 2 times of that...

last Wed, guess I was winner... 9p.m drink 6oz. 10 p.m another 6oz...

mummy thought I had enough and brushed my teeth. and then waited for me to go toilet to pee. After I pee, mummy put me to sleep. After a while, I asked for milk again!

Mummy gave another 4 oz for fear of I vomitting. But I finished! so I broke record for that nite feed... drank 16oz!

I did something proud for mummy last Sun. She brought us to Tiong Bahru in the car, alone. Mei mei didn't wan to sit in her own car seat behind as she scared to be alone behind. So I give up my own seat (in front) to her and I sit behind instead.

These days I have been rather stern with mei, often scolding mei mei and telling her if she noti, she wun go home. Mummy tell me that I should nxt time tell her what mei mei did wrong and let her punish. I shouldn't be the one scolding her as I get more angry and strict with my bigger eyes. Mummy say I cannot anyhow scold mei mei too. Recently I learn from my fren to use "activent" to mean noti and I will have a certain hand gesture to go with it...

Have been attending Kumon trial class for Maths since last Tuesday and enjoying the class though it ends less than 20 min. Everyday I also spend abt 5 - 10 min completing the worksheets too. Have been progressing very well and I am able to spell my name "Jasper" liao. though I still cant really write, need mummy to help me together.

Mummy will most likely enrol me next Jan after my Happy Train school ends in Dec.

When I first started, I was given diagnostic test and teacher is surprised that I can count quite fast though I do skip after number 15. sometimes correctly say, sometimes jumble numbers liek 16 and 18. but mummy say it good enough for my age. Guess practice make perfect.

Mummy notice sometimes I will misread "6" as number nine... but she will make me say again, without telling me it six. and I get to tick every worksheet I complete by myself. Also from completing worksheets, I get the concept of time (cos I need to put time I do, and the time I finish) and also discipline as in sitting down properly, and using my finger to point at each items I counted to improve my concentration and not be careless to overcount or miss any items. We are also encouraged to count in a clockwise manner or whichever round manner we are comfy in the sense that we dun skip or miss any items.

Last Sat, I also took intiative to return my library books to the librarian instead of the trolley. I must say I not so shy n scare to approach ple nowadays. Mummy wanted to ask the counter for the free folder promotion for every 4 books since we borrowed later. I also volunteer to ask. Though not so clear, the counter got the meaning n ask us to go to a small makeshift table where a older boy sit there chopping the receipt n giving out the folders. I am more confident now n feel proud of myself.

These few weeks I have been asking my family members and maid to call me 大哥... hehe esp during meal times where I will ask them to call me this and I will come over... keke

Mei mei like to call me chor chor... I told her I not, n call me 大哥 ....

but I still love her and most of the times do share w her things esp when she cries for it if I am holding. Sometimes I still do disturb her as in give her but throw in another direction lor ;p well, every siblings do fight rgt... it normal...

This week, I v imaginative ... I can pick up a fake phone n pretend to call papa n ask him if he will be late back home, n what time he coming back?

Then my playyard I make it my home n create a space for fake lift... I went inside n pretend to press button to go up. I press 5, 6 haaa... then the lift like not working. I step out n pick up the fake phone n pretend to call the service man.

"My lift is spoilt" "Can you come""Are you coming in the red or blue bus?""orgh blue ok"

奶奶 laughed and ask so is he coming in blue bus? I replied no, change to purple bus....

I also love to act, as I narrate what happen in school earlier. like my fren cry, I will tell mummy fren cry (n I will act crying boo hoo) hehe

Nowadays I also like to walk instead of take the tricycle to school...

I enjoyed my first movie in the cinema (at vivo) very much n ytd expressed interest in watching another show there again...

last sun, poor mummy fell down in IMM n she was carrying Gem at tat time. luckily mei mei is asleep so didn't notice/ injure too. papa n I quickly ran to her aid (as we walk quite a distance liao) n I found water around the area n told mummy "oh there is water here", mummy said now then know ,.... haha so everyone be careful when u walk as can be puddle of water even in shopping malls!

Last wkend I show improvements in my social skills. Went for mei mei birthday bash with her July frens on sat and then being a flower boy walking down the wedding aisle on sun!

Previously I was not able to mix with many ple n will def shy away. n if force to mingle, I will tear. but last wkend I show lots of improvement

On sat, I able to mix with the crowd, though I still try to play w mei mei only. I will not hide in 1 corner. Was not so shy anymore n decided that nobody is laughing or really watching me. I still worried from time to time in the beginning that I wan mummy to follow me. As the times goes on I have the most enjoyable time n towards the end, dun wish to go home!

Then sun, I went to my mummy fren's wedding lunch. I have promised earlier I help the bride to be flower boy that day. Mummy thot I would back up as the real scene is alot of people n photographer snapping away. Though I was already tired by 2 p.m, I tried to keep awake to complete the walk (2nd walk in for the couple)! hehe yes I got a pressie - a bubble gun n a hong bao. Thxs Auntie SP for letting me try! Appreciate n realise how big I have grown. Mummy was full of praise for me though I didn't really throw the petals ;p

Mei mei nearly walk with me but whenabt to enter the doors, she back up cos she wan mummy to walk w her. hahaha if not she be a star too. hehe

OK updates on me these past weeks. I been learning about alphabets again n now abt to recognise the alphabets n linking them to words. Like B for ball, balloon, w for whale, J for Jasper... etc... i can recognise the lower n upper cases as well. Hope to write them well next time round as my writing skills needs improvement...

n finally after my cough n fever episode last week, I ate some chicken porridge bought by Ah Ma... Thanks!
I vomitted out the food I ate in cc earlier... hopefully I get better soon.

Updates: Yes I been playing iphone alot but mummy limited me to play less than 1 hr every nite. I can speak almost all the chinese words when I see the pictures. n there was an auntie confirming my words are spell correctly. I can say "mao" (cat), hei sei (black), white, blue, green, red (my favourite colour of cos), mouse, carrot, mouth, eye, ear - all these in chinese. cos I use to be a "potato" n dun even speak a single word.

I also can identify numbers more accurately liao. like i can identify "17" from 4 other digits.

I can also say c is for car, curtain, cow... n many more n also for other alphabets. Hopefully next time I can read story book on my own. Actually now I can read one book abt old macdonalds had a farm and sang along with all the animals noises myself.

Yesterday was the first time we had the parent meet teachers session and it was really a fruitful one. For one, we both agree he quite sensitive and QUIET QUIET QUIET boy... hahhaa a very quiet boy. Teacher Jeehan say academic wise, he is ok but he doesn't really talk.

However he has improvement which we have seen so far
1) He talks to teachers and when prompt to speak louder, he will
2) He sits together with his friends, unlike the first week of school where he stays far away from his mates
3) He does most of the things himself now, even at home, like wearing of shoes and pants instead of waiting or whining for someone to help him to do it

N we realise though he was quiet in school, he does absorb what he had learn. He will tell me what he did in school and sang the songs he was taught. So guess the next session I hope he will have improve on his social skills liao.

Actually I also realise the difference bet my 2 kids. Jasper def love routines. He also a "organised" person in such a way he wants things to be done in a certain way. N he gets impatient very easily when eg he can't fix a puzzle as fast as he can. like he will give up easily too and starts banging on the puzzle blocks or trying to dig out the blocks to solve it. I told him force doesn't make him fix the stuff and that he shoudl learn to calm down and try another method.

Gemma on the other hand take things more easily. She can adopt the bo chap way, very seldom I hear her venting anger on the poor blocks if she doesn't fx them in time. She will just laugh it off. or move on to another item. Well there good and bad of it but guess her temper on this is better. why i say this? cos my gal can have hot temper too but not becos of not able to do things right. but she can insist on not having you touch her for eg. She will scream and push you away fiercely... hot chilli pepper...

Yesterday nite, I saw the movie "Shrek Forever and After" advert on tv and asked mummy if I can watch. Mummy say can if u wanna go cinema... I say ok... so see if mummy bring me go n if I be guai to sit thru! hehe

Before I slept I was real sweet with mummy. Papa told me mummy is a horse, n I tell him she is not! n I sayang mummy... then papa said I am a pig... I say no! I am a red car and papa is the pig... haha when papa keep saying I am a pig, I told him "I handsome papa is the pig!" haaaa

I always tell mummy I want to be a teacher, specifically a chinese teacher ever since I attended cherie hearts depot school. That becos I love my chinese teacher there. She is my role model.

But last nite mummy ask me whether I want to be teacher or principal... I didn't hesistate n reply the latter! hahahaa n mummy praise me cos principal is of higher rank n higer pay as well

As usual she also asked me abt school so I talked to her how my day there n how I vomited in the morn once.

yes, ytd teacher found ulcer in my mouth n sen dme back home to rest. This is for precaution as this week got 2 cases of HFMD in k1 so school not taking chances.

Mummy took half day yesterday to bring me n mei mei see doc. She picked me up earlier after my nap time.

Then after that, we went back home and I tell mummy that I wanted to make cookies. Mummy told me lets make and to my excitement, she get ready all the stuff

We 3 then take turns to add the ingredients and mix well. Then we make the dough soft and sticky together.

Then mummy ask us to help by putting the smaller dough onto individual paper "cups". Then mummy help to put into the oven and we waited 10 min... n nice smelling aroma came nxt... yummy.. there r choc chips on it.

I ate a few and of cos rem to drink water after that...

Mummy is proud of me that I only cried during the first week in school. She was so relieved that I have turned into a big and more understanding boy. On 22 March (second week), she quickly took half day as she was afraid I will still cry like last week. She wanted to give all the support she can. Turned up I just reach n follow the teacher in. Never look back. Teacher commented I didn't cry in school later too.

Mummy thot it was just concidence so asked auntie to monitor me for the rest of the days. In any way, if auntie can't cope w bringing me n mei mei to school, she got to think alternatives. I guess more or less I understand so didn't want mummy to be so difficult, also dun wan auntie to stress too much too. For the rest of the week, I was contented to sit on the tricycle but noti mei mei wanted to hug sometimes. N auntie no choice got to carry her. but I didn't bother auntie.

n I didn't cry since then. In fact, I am enjoying school and will come back to sing songs for the family. I also brought back my homework for mummy to see. Also my fav teacher is teacher Lynn and she taught chinese so now I know a few chinese words and will tell mummy. I use to only speak English.

My appetite now is improving ever since the sickness... Now I also eat meat and veg together with rice. no longer plain rice, to the relief of my mum. I cried more times today because now my parents dun follow me into the class room liao... but I still can see them outside waiting...

Breakfast was mantou and I dun wan to eat. I drank the milo though. I also didn't take the banana... Lunch was porridge and I ate 1 and half bowl.

I was v happy when i came home and for once, never quarrel with mei mei the whole day and played happily with her. I even sang the "two tigers" (chinese) song to her repeatedly until she say "no!" haaa I trying to teach her.

Papa got me a SIA digital cam for me but it seem having some problems and so we need to change it. Once it ok, I will have my own shots! cool!

Today is my first day in school and I am in playgroup 2. My parents were there to lend support to me. As usual I am very shy and didn't want to mix with the other kids. n I cried 2 times...
1st time is because papa force me to touch grapes, second time is when I didn't want to get into the room w/o mummy. but I know my parents are trying their best to make me feel comfy there. The school also allow either of them to be by my side today.

I manage to "survive" the first day of school and anyway it half day...
manage to eat the fried rice too... I used to dislike this but I think it nice.

I had my second professional hair cut at Toyrus vivo today... This time is very different. I agree to have hair cut after dad ask. I think maybe after mei mei cut her hair that time, I have a better impression.

After waiting for about 25 min (walked around Toysrus of cos), it finally my turn and sat on the chair myself! mummy so happy. I request for Hi5 and watch quietly while auntie cut my hair. I didn't fuss and move alot and the hair was cut v fast. The other boy was crying while getting hair cut...

Daddy bought me a panda truck which made me v happy too. We got stickers from auntie.

Then the other day, mummy didn't ask me and took some dress inside toilet to bath. I saw and run n take alook. Then told mummy to change cos not nice. haha

Mummy n Papa brought us to East coast beach last mon... Just stopped rain luckily but after we left it rained again! so we two times lucky!

These days I can enjoy playing by myself or can play with my cousin Deon or mei mei without sticking to the adults liao. No longer called koala haha. See how I can smile at mummy cam... Gemma was abit cranky over wkend as she has constipation so mummy just let her enjoy her breeze and biscuits there rather than letting play w sand...

Nowdays I also pick up singish! keep adding lor and la and even aiyo! to my sentences to surprise my parents!

It was my cousin's 6 yr party. Held at Aloha over the Hari Raya weekend (19 and 20 sep). Despite the place was part of H1N1 quarantine shelter before, this place is still very crowded.

Our chalet was near the poolside. We stayed overnite for 1 day so we have time for many activities. Once we reached there on sat (first day checkin), we head down to the beach for a walk. We pass by the pool of cos n took this photo with daddy...

Mummy told me to smile at the cam... but she later show how ugly I look!! Gosh! was trying too hard to smile! haha

Once I saw that picture, I requested mummy to take again... this time better...

As it was consider a holiday retreat for us, daddy decided to bring us to changi airport to walk walk instead of goin to bed after dinner. It was v near the chalet too anyway... so after washing up, we head down to airport... There were many people. and I notice F1 courtesy merlions!!!

Last weekend, I started going to the public toilet to pee. Even though I wore pull ups, I didn't pee in it. I would tell mummy or daddy that I need to pee when I am outside.

Yesterday I took nap without wearing pampers. N after I woke up, then I request to pee.

Guess I getting the hook of it. I even woke up to pee during around 12 a.m.

What I have learn in class has now been used in my daily life... eg last nite, mum ask me to give her the scissors as it is dangerous to play with and mei mei could have gotta hold of it, and so I return her, holding the sharper end (of cos close mode!), putting it towards my face like i wearing my glasses, and returning to her. Dunno how to tell u but will show u the pic if I can. teacher say this is a safer way to return scissors.

Anyway, more updates... I can now enjoy school w daddy now as mummy been working on some sats too... I have been guai and sitting by myself. I can now also discipline mei mei and hope she will enjoy playing w me which I do. I do not wish mei mei to go to nxt door neighbours so I cannot beat her... though sometimes i can get jealous... but dun blame me... I still toddler...

Yes next milestone achieved last wk... I been off diapers for day time. Each time I feel like peeing n pooing, I will ask mummy or maid to help me to potty. Though there are accidents, but I must say I have get off the "fightened mode" and finally tell b4 I make business n sit on potty... *clap hands. This week, before I sleep, I also ask mummy to bring me to potty though I wearing the nite pampers. soon, I will be waking up middle of nite to pee n w/o pampers... Jiayou!

I have also been eating well nowadays , thxs to cod liver oil and multivit insisted by my mummy ...

These days mei mei had been sleeping v often with us... I am v happy and like to imitate her actions as I find v funny. I always say "together" when I want to play with mei mei.

Though I love her, I always snatch her toys from her hands... maybe I find it fun but I will always cause mei mei to scream. Last nite, I did so and mummy scold me and make me return the magnet to her... at first I didn't wan to and rub my hands nervously... but mummy threathen to throw away my fav Macqueen car!

I cave in... haha

p.s: I do hug and sayang my mei mei nowadays so guess I can be a good gor gor to her.... :)

I can form quite a lot of complete sentences... but some still not completed properly as in

when I see papa reading papers, I will say "papa newspaper read"

then mummy pumped out her milk last night, when she was done, I said "Mummy finish pump milk"

haha the adults understand what I am talking but I got to brush up on my grammer and sentence forming. Vocab wise I still ok.

Last Sun, mummy bought Gerber stars for mei mei but ended up I ate them as mei mei is still not ready to eat them. haha I just love eating these banana stars!

These days I also learn to share my toys with mei mei and learn not to snatch toys from her hands, normally after one reminder. Mummy praise me for being such a nice gor gor and I feel proud of myself.

but sometimes mummy explain i can't share my drinking bottle with mei mei when I hand her my bottle. She says mei mei still small...

P.S: mummy suspect I have final molars coming out as I have lose appetite these days. can't really eat much (less than a bowl) and mummy is worried... but luckily I still taking milk and water and biscuits...like stars... yummy...

Last English term at LNT (start of new term soon)

Last Sat was our last english lesson for that term. I have improved alot. I able to count 1-10 all by myself, though sometimes i do miss a number.

I enjoy Teddy bear song and Little peter rabbit songs and can even follow actions and sang together.

There was a game whereby we group transport vehicles accordingly to LAND, SEA, AIR. after playing, teacher ask us to bid goodbye to them and place them back into plastic bags to keep. I was saying "bye bye car, bye bye xxx" as I take them out of block and back to plastic bags. Teacher looked at me in amusement. Overall, I do fare much better than the very first class.

I love teacher Josephine and hug her before I left the class.
